Resilient Organizations IndicatorsBased on prior organizational resilience research, three overarching categories emerged:

  • Change Ready
  • Networks

On the following slides, each category is presented along with the underlying resilience indicators which make up that category.

Adaptive Capacity Indicator – Leadership

This business resilience indicator measures the degree in which strong crisis leadership to provide good management and decision making during times of crisis, as well as continuous evaluation of strategies and work programs against organizational goals, is in place.

The questions which ThinkGRC asks businesses to quantify the Leadership business resilience indicator are as follows:

To what extent do you agree or disagree with the following statements for your organization?¬†Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree, Don’t Know

Staff are confident that management would provide good leadership if our organization was struck by a crisis

In a crisis, staff accept that management may need to make some decisions with little consultation

Our managers monitor staff workloads and reduce them when they become excessive
